“Alius et Idem” – “Always different yet always the same”. Thus Horace, the Latin poet, described the Sun which with every day is reborn and renewed, yet it is always the same. Like that golden star that has warmed each of our grapes, Fietri’s IGT Rosso Toscano refreshes with every sip.

Born from a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Alicante Bouchet, it is aged in oak barrels for 15 months and then left to mature in the bottle. Its grapes are from our Petraia and Buca delle Fate vineyards. Soft and fresh, spicy and fruity, enchanted yet austere, its aromas of clove and juniper intertwine with the tonicity of ripe blackberries and sour cherries resulting an elegant, dynamic and engaging wine. Every vintage Alius et Idem passes, changes, and returns, surprising us each time as it is "always different yet always the same".
