A land that fascinates.
Walnut forests and oak woods where one easily encounters wild boar, porcupines, badgers, roe deer and foxes along the trail. Vine rows in an irregular geometric patchwork testify to the labors of those who through the centuries have understood the potential of the region and of its soil.
The houses of the tiny village Fietri, the stalls, the rustic storehouses built little by little when the harvest was good and afforded growth.
The history: that of princes, but more than that, the story of the men and the women who, in these parts, have worked, loved and lived.

From the famous Piazza del Campo a Siena with the form of a seashell; the Cathedral in horzontal lines in black and white marble built on the top of the rocks overlocking Siena.
And then Arezzo, Florence, Perugia.
Not to be missed: San Gimignano – patrimony of Unesco – with its towers reaching into the sky; San Galgano, the legendary sword in the rock; The Monastery Monte Oliveto Maggiore and Sant’Antimo, the Benedictine Abbeys.
Pienza – patrimony of Unesco – a Renaissance center, one of the most beautiful in Italy.

NATURE paths
For those who love nature, farmhouse Fietri is the ideal place from where to discover or experience the Province of Siena, the magnificent hills of Chianti, Val d’Elsa, Siena of the Cretans, Val di Merse, ending in the area south of Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana, whith the risk of being overwhelmed with choice.
For long and short walks, on white roads that border fields illuminated with reflections that accentuate the view, light and shadow in perfect combinations, irresistible not to photograph, where many animals, like deer, boar, porcupine and foxes live undisturbed and many kind of birds.
GASTRONOMIC experiences
This is the region of the most valued and apreciated wines, about 750.000 hectolitres, the major part being 12 DOC wines and 5 DOCG wines in the region of Siena.
Here you find the excellent beef meat of the race Chianina, the famous cheeses from Pienza andthe white truffles from San Giovanni d’Asso, saffron from San Gimignano and the squisite cold pressed extra vergin olive oil!
A race in extinction, the porc Cinta Senese, with the tipical pink belt on a grey mantle, is now an apreciated ham with salami products.
The kitchen offers you specific tastes that are bound to the territory: pici made with wild pig sauce, mushrooms from Amiata, the famous Fiorentina with bone and filet, the fried Porcino mushroom and the sweets like the Ricciarelli, the Panforte and the copate.
