Chianti Classico DOCG
The Tuscan wine tradition has a long and glorious history made of ingenuity and passions discovered in a territory with great potential. Our Chianti Classico di Fietri is the proud fruit of this with its strong, engaging character that cannot help but be loved.
It is a Chianti Classico with a purely Sangiovese soul, vinified in stainless steel and slowly aged in oak barrels (18 months). Its grapes come from several Fietri vineyards: Poggio Ciliegio, Vigna del Fontino, Vigna Curvone and Vigneto Fattoria. These elements give the wine a powerful tannic texture typical of Sangiovese but also a notable variety of aromatic and gustatory hues that alternate then open in an enthralling succession. One recognizes wild berries and purple cherries in the subtle tannins that make it such a vital wine which is so relaxed and fresh as it opens in the mouth following its pleasant first sip. Then the vaguely wild spiced hints of pepper, juniper and Mediterranean shrub follow. Here, the balsamic notes and the iron touches outline a dense, sapid, and austere weave enveloped in the powerful acidity of this Chianti. Lastly, one finds elements of sweet and elegant hawthorn: an airy touch of kindness that adds grace to the whole and blends it leading to a full and juicy finish.
Our Chianti Classico di Fietri is a snapshot of our tradition and the expression of sincere love for the land of our home.

Alius et Idem Rosso di Toscana
“Alius et Idem” – “Always different yet always the same”. Thus Horace, the Latin poet, described the Sun which with every day is reborn and renewed, yet it is always the same. Like that golden star that has warmed each of our grapes, Fietri’s IGT Rosso Toscano refreshes with every sip.
Born from a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Alicante Bouchet, it is aged in oak barrels for 15 months and then left to mature in the bottle. Its grapes are from our Petraia and Buca delle Fate vineyards. Soft and fresh, spicy and fruity, enchanted yet austere, its aromas of clove and juniper intertwine with the tonicity of ripe blackberries and sour cherries resulting an elegant, dynamic and engaging wine. Every vintage Alius et Idem passes, changes, and returns, surprising us each time as it is “always different yet always the same”.

Dedicato a Benedetta IGT
There are special days which are remembered forever. “Dedicato a Benedetta” is dedicated to one of those very special days. The first bottles of this select Sangiovese Tuscan IGT from the 2010 harvest were offered as a special gift for the occasion of a family wedding in 2012.
The beautiful image drawn on the label: the tree of life as the ladder of Jacob’s dream (Genesis 28), on which the angels rise and fall continuously between heaven and earth like the awareness of man and woman coming together to fulfill their life path together, refers to this happy event. Fietri is a microcosm where each of its wines has its own story and its own vineyard, a sort of eno-geographic memory which gives name and surname to its wines. Thus, Dedicato a Benedetta finds its origins in the Galestro sandstone soil of the Carletti vineyard, planted in 2004, with its fine southern exposure. Here the vines are kept closely trimmed and produce only about 1 kg of grapes each so as to concentrate all the sugars and tannins into the few clusters. The gestation period of Dedicato a Benedetta is slow and almost maternal: it matures over 18 months in oak barrels, which were chosen by the owners as a gift to their daughter, followed by a minimum of 4 months in the bottle. For this reason, it is only produced in the best harvest years. The result of this exclusively Sangiovese Tuscan IGT is a soft silky red wine with great body supported by a beautifully acidic backbone which gives it strength and structure. Then there are its aromas of sour cherry sweetened by nostalgic notes of violet. It envelops the palate in a warm and decisive embrace, reminding us of the care given it. For this reason, it is a wine “that is in our hearts”.

Chianti Classico Riserva
The Riserva di Fietri comes from our Poggio Ciliegio Vineyard, where our Sangiovese buries its roots deep into the clayey galestro-rich soil, capturing the essence of the vineyard’s aromatic herbs, tiny sylvan fruits and spontaneous wild flowers.
It is then vinified in steel vats before passing to 20 days of malo-lactic fermentation in oak Tonneaux followed by another 18 months of aging in the Tonneaux and in oval Allier barrels. From here comes its strength, incisiveness and sincerity, and its spicy notes of black pepper, juniper, tobacco and dark chocolate. Finally then, it is aged in bottles for 15 months, acquiring a smooth, clean, dry palate with well-integrated tannins. The elegant “silk effect” that it has on the palate is worthy of note: enveloping without leaving a trace, except for that of great pleasure.

HIC ET NUNC IGT
“Hic et Nunc”- “Here and Now” was the motto of Horace, the ancient Latin poet; A call to seize life and not to allow precious opportunities to escape us. Such is our white wine "Hic et Nunc": an instant of intensity.
An Organic IGT, it is a blend of 50% Chardonnay (6 months in barrique) and 50% Viognier (6 months of stainless steel) from our North-eastern exposed Linari vineyard. Hic et Nunc offers an aesthetic experience with its bright and intense straw yellow color and strong mineral notes. At first sip, exotic fruits and coconut prevail accompanied by the sweetness of Golden apples. Then notes of citrus and Mediterranean scrub follow with salty sage, essence of spring wild flowers, and almond. The palate is clean, balanced and consistent with a structured but smooth body. The persistent freshness carries to a vibrant, savory finish and to a soothing vanilla aftertaste: Fietri captured in a single moment.

ROSATO SANGIOVESE biologico IGT
Like the Greek goddess Aurora, the morning sunrise of Chianti is bathed in rosy pink light. Our Rosato carries forth those hues and brings with it the warmth of the Tuscan sun.
In production since 2007, the Fietri Rosato, is drawn exclusively from the Sangiovese vines rooted in our high Linari vineyard with its rich ancient Skeleton Galestro soil from which the vines draw abundant mineral salts giving great sapidity to the wine. The sloped exposure to the sun and the unique climate of Fietri guarantee bright light during the day and refreshing dew at night generating a balanced wine with refined aromas.
To the eye, its color has cherry pink nuances softened by golden notes with an effect of great brightness and unique chromatic tones. The nose unveils the Mediterranean aromas of summer sage, rock salt and red flowers, with the fragrance of the strawberries and the raspberries that line the shady undergrowth alongside the vineyard. Utilizing 60% from contact pressing and 40% saignée, the production in steel vats renders it a sincere, lively and pleasantly dry wine. The initial freshness of each sip gives way to the austere taste of the Sangiovese, leaving a far from short, clean and savory finish. It was awarded runner up in the Oscar of Vini Rosati d’Italia 2014 nominations.

KALLISTÉ spumante rosato
"Kallistè" - "To the most beautiful" – Thus recited the ancient poet Homer and thus was written on the mythical golden apple as it passed among the gods of Olympus unleashing their passionate intrigues. Everyone wants to be loved and everyone wants a sign of it. This is Kallistè: a dedication of love and an act of devotion to the beloved.
Kallistè is a Metodo Classico Brut Rosé produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes. This exceptional varietal finds fertile land in the peculiar microclimate of Fietri whose vineyards are among the highest of the Chianti hills. Here, with Sangiovese as their soul, the Chianti Classico DOCG and IGT wines are expressed with great versatility, each unique and unrepeatable in the countless aromatic and organoleptic nuances that this vine offers.
Kallistè persuades with its aromas of talcum and flowers, calling you to desire more. Notes of toasted hazelnuts and bread crust stand out in the finish. Its perlage is fine and elegant: a Venus covered in pink that rises up in light. She is dry like the Galestro soil she comes from, fresh and clean like the steel in which her “sparkling base” is made, and, after of 48 months maturing “sur lies”, like a noblewoman, she is reserved yet engaging. Hers is a promise of the sublime.
